My favorite Photoshop brushes (to get the names, view as ‘text only’)

• From the default Dry Media set in Photoshop > “Charcoal Flat” (brush tip Hard Elliptical 28). I use variations of this (messing with transfer / wet edges / texture) for everything.
• Default hard round brush for blending
• “Chinese Ink” (from a brush set created by zhuzhu)

Setting up Photoshop Actions as brush hotkeys: there is a simple tutorial here, it helps if you select a non-brush tool (eg. marquee tool (M)) before recording, follow the tutorial, then at step #4 just hit ‘B’ to switch to the brush tool and select your brush (eg. ‘Bunny Ears’) from the preset menu. After setting up actions, use shift+F2, F3 etc with your non-drawing hand to switch between your favorite brushes very quickly.
