I am sorry for not posting much art lately here is some Guo Jia spam. The first is uhh a Guo Jia and Jia Xu story I want to do at some point in my life (sorry wenhe you are to me forever an ossan).The second is just blatant Ravages of Time fanart and please excuse my horrible calligraphy..
Okay having made fun of Jia Xu I feel obliged to improve his reputation a bit… Jia Xu was an advisor who served an interesting array of warlords in the late Han / Three Kingdoms dynasty and talked his way out of sudden death situations a lot before masterfully surrendering to and serving Cao Cao. He died of natural causes at the age of 77, impressively, not through battle or of disease or a broken heart or being insulted to death by Zhuge Liang*. He is memorable to me for being right all the time, and for two generations of Caos appointing him for his advice and then not heeding it. /fabulous_shrug.gif
As for the camel, like that last horse it is also styled after a pottery figure from the 5th century, although the man sitting on it is quite definitely from Koei Tecmo circa 2011.
*B just reminded me I really liked Zhugers when I first read the novel precisely because of this. Maybe I am a better person now

Aside from the really beautiful design Koei made for him in one of the old databooks (all flowing robes and feathery hat, sans baozi) here is an epic translation of his SGZ biography with an annotation stating that after his death Cao Cao wrote two letters to Xun Yu on the topic of “My grief for Fengxiao cannot leave my heart”

After realizing there were fan-made covers of music from Madomagi floating around the interwebs I went and looked them up and emoted a lot. This is my favorite - a medley of themes from eps 1-9 arranged for and performed by two pianos.
This drawing predates that discovery though; it is instead based on a Radwimps song that shuffled on at the moment. “Maybe someday, someone will be able to say, ‘There’s nothing I want to wish for any more.’”
Last week Koei did up a DW-style design of Guo Jia / Fengxiao in response to a Famitsu poll where readers voted him their #1 most wanted addition to the series. A rose among ossans. (Zhang He is technically a butterfly and every time I look at Cao Pi I see a frog)
As for what his personality should be like I hope Koei refer to this comic
